An opportunity exists for a career minded individual to join the Novotel Twin Waters Resort as Assistant Housekeeping Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the supporting the Housekeeping Manager to ensure the professional and cost effective running of the Housekeeping Department achieving high standards of cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas and back of house.Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager the role is responsible for:Supervising the cleaning of guestrooms and public areas ensuring through inspection that standards of cleanliness and guest comfort are maintained in accordance with Hotels and Brand standardsMaintaining excellent communication between Housekeeping, Front Office and Maintenance in regard to readiness of rooms with particular attention to guest's special requirementsHandle or resolve all guest complaints and establish exceptional relations with guests of the hotel to ensure superior guest comfort and servicePrepare weekly staffing schedules, monitoring staff attendance and labour planning to meet with activity in the Hotel and to maintain costsProviding support to Housekeeping Supervising Team , and supporting Housekeeping Manager with staff recruitment, disciplinary procedures, performance evaluations and training and development of all housekeeping staffEstablishing and maintaining cost control systems for staff, linen inventories, cleaning and guest supplies.Ensuring that room cleaning productivity is monitored closely and maintainedIn the absence of the Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for acting as the Department ManagerTo be considered for this role, you will have:Previous Rooms Divisions experience within a hotel settingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEfficient time management skills and able to manage competing prioritiesGenuine commitment to guest service and excellent attention to detailEnjoy working within a diverse team, and autonomouslyFull working privileges for Australia (Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship)If you are interested in this position, please click the 'APPLY' button below and send us a copy of your Cover Letter and CV.   • In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for acting as the Department Manager
