ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUR NEXT CAREER MOVE?The Irrigation Maintenance Worker will carry out irrigation maintenance activities that encompasses: auditing and checking for faults, repair of leaks and damaged components, replacing and upgrading of components, completing preventative maintenance activities as required, install or maintain irrigation systems with lawns and garden beds as directed.Our successful candidate will require:Certificate III in IrrigationCurrent unrestricted 'C' class drivers licenceConstruction Safety (White Card)Certificate of Safe Working Near Live Exposed PartsDemonstrated ability to identify and repair solenoid valves, program standalone controllers and identify and repair leaks in non-potable main/ lateral irrigation lines.Sound knowledge of plumbing activities including procedures for system shut down and commissioning and identification and selection of plumbing components needed to complete assigned tasks.Sound knowledge of operational procedures applicable to irrigation maintenance, particularly related to the provision of services in municipal parks and open spaces.Knowledge of, or ability to obtain knowledge of road signage and traffic control requirements as associated with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (Part 3 2010).Ability to safely operate a range of light plant, machinery and equipment associated with maintenance and construction projects within a rural and urban environment.Sound problem solving skills with the ability to achieve creative, effective and efficient solutions to challenges and changes.Ability to operate computerised equipment (e.g. mobile phone, tablet PC, mobility applications, data loggers, GPS, etc.).Effective time and workload management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to obtain team objectives.We're hiring an Irrigation Maintenance Worker.
