About the Role

Working within BOQ’s Lending Services team, this position is responsible for assessing high volume Equipment Finance transactions using well developed credit risk assessment and financial analysis skills.

In particular this role will oversee the more complex credit applications and will provide support to staff with assessments and recommendations where required.

Duties will include:

  • Appropriately identify credit risk in all assessments
  • Ensure recommendations to higher authorities are of an acceptable quality
  • Apply delegated authority in line with the defined risk appetite
  • Deliver acceptable application turnaround times
  • Carefully consider all applications before reaching a decision
  • Maintaining favourable relationships with internal and external customers

About You

We are seeking an individual with demonstrated knowledge and experience in the below areas:

  • Extensive experience in credit risk assessment and applying lending delegation
  • Strong knowledge of commercial Equipment Finance products, policy, credit processes and regulatory codes
  • Previous experience in maintaining internal and external stakeholders relationships
  • Clear, balanced communication style with the ability to explain/rationalise credit decisions to external stakeholders whilst maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong problem solving capabilities and attention to detail
