In this role, the Senior Environmental Specialist will report to the Environment Lead and be responsible for providing technical environmental management expertise to the Australia Pacific LNG Downstream operations team. The successful Senior Environmental Specialist will be an experienced environmental professional with strong self-motivation, initiative and understanding of the environmental 'big picture'. What You Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental engineering or environmental science 
  • Minimum 5 years environmental experience in a large industrial facility within heavy industry, resources sector or major project roles
  • Ability to be mobile, travelling approximately 20% of the time, including overnight stays
  • Strong technical environmental skills including demonstrated competence in managing air, water and waste management programs 
  • Implement and maintain an integrated management system
  • Current working knowledge and practical application of Commonwealth environmental legislation
  • Communicate with impact and develop strong stakeholder relationships and networks
  • Willingness to learn and continue to improve your technical and professional skills
  • Alignment to the ConocoPhillips SPIRIT values
