Your new role you will be responsible for guiding and supporting the team in order to achieve Financial Crimes team goals. The expectation of this position is to minimise the Bank's non-lending losses and reduce the Bank's exposure to financial crimes by providing a professional monitoring, detection and prevention service for the BOQ Group.This role is also responsible for providing a professional monitoring, detection, investigation and recovery service to mitigate fraud and AML/CTF risk. About The Role

The Senior Financial Crimes Officer is responsible for the compliant operations of the Financial Crimes team and all functions, processes and personnel within the BOQ Group. Your new role you will be responsible for guiding and supporting the team in order to achieve Financial Crimes team goals. The expectation of this position is to minimise the Bank's non-lending losses and reduce the Bank's exposure to financial crimes by providing a professional monitoring, detection and prevention service for the BOQ Group.

This role is also responsible for providing a professional monitoring, detection, investigation and recovery service to mitigate fraud and AML/CTF risk. It will also mitigate regulatory risks by providing Regulators with timely and comprehensive reports.

Specifically you will:

  • Ensure the team is monitoring the Bank's fraud detection systems or by any other possible means to identify potential fraud
  • Applying your problem solving skills to guide you through Case Management Investigations in a timely and detailed manner
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert assistance to your team for any escalated queries
