Job Location: Newstead, Queensland, AustraliaPosition Type: Full-Time|RegularAbout the RoleReporting through to the Trade Customer Support Supervisor this role sits within Treasury and International Operations who are responsible for processing all the high value clearing for BOQ and transactions for Treasury and Financial Markets direct dealing customers and retail customers.Your responsibility is to ensure Trade Product transactions are processed within agreed SLA's for Financial Market clients assisting them with smooth end to end process for importing or exporting goods. This is a 2 month maximum term contract running through until October 2019.Specific duties will include:Processing of all Import and Export Letters of Credit, Trade Finance transactions, Import and Export Documentary Collections, due date transactions, liabilities, payment entries, documentation and correspondence with overseas institutions, utilising the Trade Enabler system to ensure all transactions are processed within the required deadlinesEnsure all daily tasks are completed e.g. FX rates, diary, Trade Finance Exposures, nostro and International suspense account reconciliationEnsure all client static data is accurately recorded and all documentation is received in compliance with AML requirementsEnsure EOM reporting is completed within 1 business day Service DeliveryDemonstrate a pro-active approach to servicing our clients, provide excellent customer serviceFoster relationships with internal and external clients and counterparties as listed above, so as to promote and further the attainment of the Bank’s Vision, Goal and ValuesAdhere to the departments SLA's Compliance, Processes & ProceduresMaintain sound knowledge of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules for documentary letters of credit and collectionsEnsure all processes and procedures are adhered to and comply with the requirements of all regulatory bodies, legislation and industry RegulationsMaintain procedures, ensuring they are fully documented, updated and reviewed annuallyContinually look for process improvements and assist in implementing projects to enhance operational efficiency, maximise the effectiveness of the team and reduce operational riskExperience Required:Knowledge and understanding of Trade products and proceduresKnowledge of the International Chamber of Commerce rules for documentary letters of credit and collectionsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelAFMA Operations Accreditation (if not already obtained, must be completed within 12 months of joining department)Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS)About UsWork for one of Australia's top 100 listed companies where our vision is to create Australia's Most Loved Bank! About the Role

  • Maintain sound knowledge of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules for documentary letters of credit and collections
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to and comply with the requirements of all regulatory bodies, legislation and industry Regulations
  • Maintain procedures, ensuring they are fully documented, updated and reviewed annually
  • Continually look for process improvements and assist in implementing projects to enhance operational efficiency, maximise the effectiveness of the team and reduce operational risk

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Trade products and procedures
  • Knowledge of the International Chamber of Commerce rules for documentary letters of credit and collections
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • AFMA Operations Accreditation (if not already obtained, must be completed within 12 months of joining department)
  • Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS)
