Working within the Financial Markets team you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately processing and reconciling incoming foreign currency telegraphic transfers and outward foreign iTAPS transactions.As the Treasury Operations Officer, you will be responsible for:Ensuring prompt processing of all incoming foreign TTsLiaising with Financial Markets dealers for foreign currency conversion ratesProcessing all outward foreign iTAPS transactions ensuring that funding has been received, payment filtering has been applied, verifying that payments contain accurate information and are released by the required currency deadlineEnsuring associated accounting entries are passedCompleting end of day balancing processes to ensure all transactions have been processed and accounted for. Reviewing relevant GL and account reconciliation and ensure all outstanding reconciling items are followed up and resolved within the shortest possible time frameAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will have a previous reconciliation and data entry skills. About the Role:

We seek an Operations Officer to support our Financial Markets Team and Customers. Working within the Financial Markets team you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately processing and reconciling incoming foreign currency telegraphic transfers and outward foreign iTAPS transactions.

As the Treasury Operations Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring prompt processing of all incoming foreign TTs
  • Liaising with Financial Markets dealers for foreign currency conversion rates
  • Processing all outward foreign iTAPS transactions ensuring that funding has been received, payment filtering has been applied, verifying that payments contain accurate information and are released by the required currency deadline
  • Ensuring associated accounting entries are passed
  • Completing end of day balancing processes to ensure all transactions have been processed and accounted for. Reviewing relevant GL and account reconciliation and ensure all outstanding reconciling items are followed up and resolved within the shortest possible time frame

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a previous reconciliation and data entry skills. Further your skills, knowledge and experience will include:

  • Full or partial completion of a university degree in Banking, Finance, Business (or similar), FINSIA Course, or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Previous data entry experience with high degree of accurate key strokes per minute essential
  • Previous reconciliation experience essential
  • Previous experience in a Treasury or International Operations environment with exposure to international banking and payments, nostro accounts and the CS4 - high value clearing stream preferred
  • Previous experience using an integrated TT processing systems preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of domestic and international Telegraphic Transfer processing procedures essential
  • Working knowledge of iTAPS and SWIFT preferred
  • Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and people skills
